It’s usually fatal for a band when the group’s singer passes away. However, there are exceptions. Little Feat continued on after frontman Lowell George died.  Alice in Chains appeared to be done after singer Layne Staley suffered a fatal overdose in 2002. However, Alice in Chains regrouped three-years later.       The latter’s story is similar to the Sublime tale.  The band was on the rise when its vocalist, Brad Nowell lost his life courtesy of an overdose. The band appeared to be finished.           However, the surviving members of Sublime, drummer Bud Gaugh and bassist Eric Wilson, reformed the group in 2009 with vocalist-guitarist Rome Ramirez. It should be very interesting to see this version of Sublime.
