Shelby Lynne is finally on her own. After 20-plus years of toiling under the thumb of record company, rule, Lynne has finally gone indie. It works for the sexy singer-songwriter. Her latest disc,

‘Tears, Lies and Alibis,’ is proof that Lynne is fine by her lonesome. Lynne, who will perform Sunday at the World Café Live, proves that there is no need for anyone to hold her hand. Her eleventh release, which dropped two-weeks ago, is her first album she has crafted without interference. Each of the ten compelling songs were written solely by Lynne, who is exceptional live.
