Goodbye Kevin Eubanks

Philly is an undeniable music mecca. It’s made its mark in many ways. Philly guys have even made an impact on chat show land. The dynamic Roots are the house band on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel.’ And then there is Kevin Eubanks, the ‘Tonight Show’ bandleader.  After joining Jay Leno’s crew in 1995 as music director, Eubanks bid adieu last night. Eubanks, 52, says he wants a career change of pace. It’s tough to blame him since the ‘Tonight Show’ is as demanding as any program. We’ll miss the easy-going Philly guy, who backs the local teams, plays a mean guitar and possesses a  great sense of humor.
