It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 20 years since moe. Started its career. When the group was kicking around clubs during the early ‘90s, there didn’t seem much to distinguish the group from its jam band peers.
But moe, which will perform Saturday at the Tower Theater, morphed into one of the most adventurous bands on the circuit. The hard-working unit out of gritty Utica, New York developed an unpredictable, funky, loopy sound, which is analogous with Primus, who performs Friday at the Tower.
You never know what moe. Will do live, which sets them apart from many bands.
