Rock is cyclical. When the Jesus and Mary Chain faded during the mid-90s and died in 1999, their fuzzy-feedback laden sound passed on.
It was revived just two years later by the Raveonettes, who emerged out of Denmark crafting distorted, dramatic and at times menacing music.
The Raveonettes, who will perform Wednesday at the Theater of Living Arts, are touring behind its latest album, ‘Raven in the Grave,’ which drops Tuesday. The band, which will preview tracks, figures to be around for the long haul since vocalist-guitarist Sune Rose Wagner and bassist Sharin Foo, are old friends, who get along well, unlike the Mary Chain’s tortured Reid brothers.
